A charismatic, self-absorbed Indian writer, who discovers he may not have long to live, tries to mend a neglected relationship with his young daughter from a broken previous marriage, while his life slowly falls apart around him. When they discover a box of Lego bricks at a garage sale and decide to build a model of the Taj Mahal together, a whole new chapter opens up for them. But what story will it tell? Wah Taj is a Bollywood drama film directed by Ajit Sinha, presented by Jayantilal Gada (Pen India Pvt Ltd) and co produced by Pawan Sharma and Abhinav Verma under the banners of Pun Films Pvt. Ltd. and SpyderWave Films. It features actors Shreyas Talpade and Manjari Fadnis in the lead roles.

Maayan sees Machakanni on the day of her engagement and both fall for each other. Incidentally her engagement is broken off. But, the enmity between their villages and family threatens their romance.

Shivaji comes up with a challenging role, while as a producer, he displays even more guts. Taj Mahal is not a run-of-the-mill love tragedy, but a melancholy story, with an element of risk in it. This is one film which has not tinkered with the climax of the original. You could say, the debut producer has allowed the story-teller in the director, carte blanche to be true to the original idea.

Taj Mahal is a 1995 Telugu romance film directed by Muppalaneni Shiva and produced by D. Ramanaidu. The film stars Srikanth, Monica Bedi and Sanghavi in the lead roles. The music was composed by M. M. Srilekha. It is the first hit film of Srikanth as a lead actor.
